With the Internet, it's possible to access almost any information, communicate with anyone else in the world, and do much more. Each router's job is to know how to move packets along from their source to their destination. A packet will have moved through multiple routers during its journey. A lot of products and services are sold and provided through internet today. Once upon a time, telephone was considered a fast mode of communication. Now, internet has enormously emerged and replaced telephone as swift mode of communication.

Common methods of Internet access by users include dial-up with a computer modem via telephone circuits, broadband over coaxial cable, fiber optics or copper wires, Wi-Fi, satellite, and cellular telephone technology (e.g. 3G, 4G). The Internet may often be accessed from computers in libraries and Internet cafes.
